J’Accuse: A Call for Truth Amidst Chaos
To the Editor:
For 155 days, Israel has endured the relentless onslaught of Hamas terrorism, sparked by the cowardly attack on innocent Israeli civilians on October 7, 2023. Yet, amidst the chaos and bloodshed, a disturbing narrative has emerged – one that distorts reality, vilifies the victims and emboldens the perpetrators.
I accuse the far-leftists, the Hamas apologists and all those who have turned a blind eye to the truth. They have chosen to amplify the voices of terrorists over the cries of the innocent. They have painted Israel, the victim of unprovoked aggression, as the aggressor, perpetuating a dangerous lie that threatens justice and peace.
Israel did not seek this war. Israel did not target innocent Arab civilians in Gaza. It was Hamas, a designated terrorist organization, that launched a barbaric assault on Israeli soil, leaving death and destruction in its wake. Hamas murdered, raped and took hostages, without regard for human life or decency.
I accuse the hypocrites of the world who peddle falsehoods and distortions in the name of political expediency. They stand in the way of justice, shielding terrorists from accountability and prolonging the suffering of the innocent. They preach tolerance and understanding, while turning a blind eye to Hamas’s reign of terror.
Israel’s mission is clear: to combat terrorism, to liberate the hostages held by Hamas, and to ensure the safety and security of its citizens. Israel’s actions are not only justified but imperative, in the face of an enemy sworn to its destruction.
Let us not forget the ultimate goal – peace and justice for all. Let us pray for the safety of all innocents, Jew and Gentile, Israeli and Arab. May the truth prevail, and may the light of justice illuminate the path to lasting peace in the region.
